While the two groups work closely together they are organized and governed separately.

No, the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation MOPHSF) provides programs and services to any veteran who has served in the United Sates Armed Forces whether or not they have received the Purple Heart Medal.

Yes, Purple Heart Services provides innovative services to disabled veterans and their families and prides itself on adapting quickly to modern-day challenges faced by combat wounded and disabled veterans. The organization continues to provide pioneering programs and services to meet the needs of the combat-wounded. A division of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, Purple Heart Services incorporates: Purple Heart Radio, Veterans Vocational Technical Institute, Purple Heart Call Center, Purple Heart Tech Support, and additional online programs and services created to help disabled and combat wounded veterans with educational and employment opportunities nationwide.

The Purple Heart Service Foundation is supported by the generosity of Americans from all walks of life, through financial contributions, good that we convert to cash and through volunteer efforts.
6. Donations
The PHSF is supported through the generosity of the American public and is proud to employ disabled veterans in our efforts to raise funds to assist our nations veterans and their families.
7. Purple Heart Cars – the Vehicle Donation Program
More than 500,000 people have donated through our organization. Donating a vehicle is a simple and allows individuals to make a contribution to the organization they might not have been able to afford. The donated item is converted to cash and the proceeds benefit Veterans programs offered through Purple Heart.
8. Am I able to get a tax deduction?
Yes. Items donated to the PHSF are tax deductable. The IRS allows a donor to claim the fair market value up to $500 for a donated vehicle. However, if the charity sells the donated vehicle for over $500, the IRS allows the donor to claim the selling price as a tax deduction. Guideline may be reviewed at www.irs.gov
9. What happens to the donated vehicle?
The PHSF sells the vehicle at auction and the proceeds after towing and related expenses are paid are used to benefit programs supported by the Foundation.
10. Clothing and Household Discard Program
Clothing and household donations are accepted in States across the country. Items are sold in Thrift Stores and proceeds are used to support Veteran Programs.
